What is Functional Nutrition?

It is a whole systems approach and personalized care based on a medical nutrition model that combines the very best of modern science, clinical wisdom and integrative therapies.  I have been trained to identify root causes of diseases in a systematic fashion to restore function and improve outcomes replacing a repetitive medical nutrition therapy protocol for a disease.

What type of clients do you work with currently?

My commitment right now is to honor the woman in action.  You know her.  She is a mover and a shaker and her influence spans over all the people she loves, yet she needs support to optimize her health and wellness.  She knows something is off because showing up for her daily heroics is becoming exhausting.

Do you work with pregnant or breastfeeding women?

Mommas are in a first class of their own.  She needs someone to optimize her health and the child’s health she is growing therefore working with someone who specializes in this area is ideal.  Plus, at times, an herbal supplement may be recommended by me, and most of these have not been tested in this population.  However, please come back to me when you are ready.

Do you work with men and children as well?

I currently don’t work with men.  After spending 10 years specializing in pediatric nutrition, I understand the intricate needs of child nutrition, however I have decided to nurture my desire to advocate women’s health.

Do you accept Insurance?

Accepted Answer

I am insurance free to allow all costs given directly to you and your care instead of the pockets of a third party.  If needed, I can provide a superbill with CPT codes for you to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.  I do accept HSA/FSA to cover costs, but I recommend checking first to make sure. chedule a discovery call?

Where is your office?

Anywhere!  My practice  is 100% virtual.  All appointments and exchanges are through an easy to use HIPAA compliant telehealth platform which makes our sessions occur right where you want it to take place.

What can I expect when working with you?

First, congratulations on supporting your health.  You are worth it!  We will start with a discovery call where you share intensions and goals.  This is also your chance to interview me to ensure we are a good fit.  If we are a match, we will jump in and set up a 90-minute session to dive deep into your history and experiences, review current labs and determine beneficial ones moving forward, and create your personalized plan.

Question 8

What if I decide on utilizing functional labs?

This is completely an elective option, but does give great insight on current body functions and levels.    We can tailor and refine your choices, so you don’t waste money or go through unnecessary testing.  Then, I will do the work for you.  You don’t have to order any labs or go through a doctor.  All labs will be mailed to you at the comfort of your own home.

How much do you charge?
